I review Children’s Indie books of different genres. I read through the book to gain the best perspective I can. I have been a teacher for over 14 years for grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 in California, USA. I’ve also written two middle reader novels, and am working on my third.

When I rate a book, I look at it’s ability to entertain a child, interest as a teacher, and structure as a writer. Below is my rating system. I use a star rating with 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest rating.

**** Five Stars = This book is awesome. Couldn’t put it down. You’ve got to read it.

**** Four Stars = This book is great. Really enjoyed it. Put it on your “To Read” list.

*** Three Stars = This book is pretty good. A couple of things might not fly with me.
But overall something to try on your reading list.

** Two Stars = This book is OK. There were problems that should be considered when
choosing this book to read. Maybe consider if the topics/ideas interest you.

* One Star = Yipes. Good thing I read it first. Move on and don’t try this one.

  1. Tiffany Turner: oh Tiffany Turner worked at Taylor Bertha elementary, stopped teaching and hired Mrs.Nylander as a substitute, had a blood clot, taught Deacon James, Ben Asiaba, Dominic Kabeche, Marriana Lazano!
